Meet deborah
I didn’t set out to become an interior designer; I grew into it.
I got my start in my family’s retail flooring and window fashions store, learning the industry from the ground up long before I ever called myself a designer. Eventually, I went back to school while working full-time and raising my family, earning my interior design certificate from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). That foundation became DeCristo Design.
Today, every DeCristo Design client works directly with me. I’m personally involved in every decision, from previewing furniture at local design centers to coordinating installation day. I believe good design should feel personal, not transactional, and that it’s achievable at nearly every budget, not just the largest ones. I like to combine timeless design with current trends, colors, and style, and I especially love helping people discover a personal style they didn’t know how to put into words.
Whether you’re refreshing a room you’ve lived in for years, taking on a full renovation, or downsizing out of a home filled with decades of memories, I’m the same person who answers the phone, sits with you at your kitchen table, and sees the project through to the end.
